“The Role of Tourism in the Era of Globalization”
Professor Usta is currently the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences. He graduated from the Tourism Department, Facutly of Economics and Commerce of the Agean Univeristy. He worked at the Ministry of Tourism for a while. He became visiting scholars at the Spanish Tourism Institute and Madrid University. He published many books on Social Tourism, Turksih Tourism Policies, Structural Approcah to Tourism Case etc. |

C. Coşkun Küçüközmen, Izmir University of Economics, Izmir, Turkey
"Political Economy of Basel Regulations"
Dr. Küçüközmen is a full time lecturer at the International Trade and Finance Department of Izmir University of Economics. Dr. Küçüközmen has started his official career at the Central Bank of Turkey in 1986. He was granted Jean Monnet study-award and received his MSc degree on banking from Loughborough University, UK in 1995. He conducted his doctoral research at the Exeter University. He worked at the Central Bank of the Turkey till 2010. He also taught at the Middle East Technical University. He is lecturing on financial time series analysis, regulation and supervision of financial risks and energy trade and risk management. |

Sedef Akgüngör, Chairman of the Deparment of Economics, Dokuz Eylul University “Transportation Network and Population Movements"
Sedef Akgüngör received her MA degree in Economics and PhD Degree in
Agricultural Economics from Michigan State University in 1992.
She has research experience and interst on agricultural economics, economics
of food safety, regional economics, regional development.
She is currently professor and department chair at Dokuz Eylül University
Faculty of Business, Department of Economics. She has completed and/or
involved in several European Comission funded projects such as
FP7 programme (FLABEL (running)),European Science Foundation (ESF)
ECRP Project (Constructing Regional Advantage),
ESF Eurocores Project (Inventing Europe Programme).
